It's event week, Shuffleurs! You know what that means – reminder emails from BikeReg!

Waivers

If you have not yet filled out your waiver, check your inbox for a link. You must sign your waiver in order to participate in The Truffle Shuffle. We will NOT have waivers available at check-in, so please make sure you sign your waiver before you arrive.

Check-In

Check-in early at our first ever Pop-Up Packet Pickup Party, which will be held from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 28 at 615 S Main St. in Stillwater, OK. Meet fellow riders, check out downtown STW, and grab a drink or two!

Not arriving until Sunday? Check-In opens at the event site at 10:30 AM. We recommend showing up sooner than later, especially if you're participating in the costume contest! At Check-In you will receive: your swag bag, bib number, and meal wristband for Sunday's BBQ.

Camping

A few friendly reminders for campers: yes, we have a pavilion onsite, yes we have bathrooms onsite, yes we have a fire pit onsite. We are staying at the Lake McMurtry East Recreation Area (Address: 29180 Chisholm Curve, Stillwater, OK, 74075). Keep an eye on the forecast and bring what you think might be necessary (it's better to be safe than sorry!): waterproof gear if it rains, cold-weather gear (particularly for Sunday night campers), a coffee maker, etc. You are welcome to camp in your car if that's your setup! All car campers and tent campers will be together at the campsite. We will not have coffee available in the mornings - we encourage you to bring your own Coffee Outside and an extra mug for a new friend :-)

Parking At Camp

While camping is free, it is $6 to park your car at the campsite. To streamline the process, we would prefer if you sent your $6 parking payment to The Truffle Shuffle's Venmo account: @thetruffleshuffle. We will then be able to purchase your pass for you and give it to you at check-in/when you arrive at camp. If you'd like to ride your bike to the event from the campground, use this route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44779717

Parking on Event Day

Please DO NOT park on course - particularly, DO NOT PARK ON THE HILL unless you have received special permission to do so. If you are driving to the event, we recommend you park on the NORTH side of Brush Creek (across from 44th) and then walk up the hill. We've attached a map for your convenience! If you'd like to ride to the event but aren't camping, we recommend parking in downtown Stillwater at 8th & Husband. There is a free parking lot available at that location. There is a bike route available that leads from 8th & Husband to the event. You can view the route here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37941201

Chamois Butt'r Costume Contest

This year's costume contest is sponsored by one of our favorite pals, Chamois Butt'r! The contest will begin at 11:30 AM and end at 12:30 PM. Please arrive on time to participate in the costume contest. The WINNER will receive some AWESOME Chamois Butt'r Swag in addition to a few other mystery prizes :-) This year's costume contest will be judged by a secret Stillwater celebrity (who could it be?!).

Food (Event Day)

As always, This Land BBQ will be gracing us with delicious BBQ! Make sure you keep your wristband on after Check-In so you can present it for your plate. You MUST have a wristband in order to get your meal. This Land BBQ tries hard to serve everyone exactly what they'd like – there will be very limited additional BBQ for purchase.

Drinks (Event Day)

TRSH is sponsored by Fat Tire and Stonecloud Brewing Company! We will have tasty brews available from both brands as well as non-alcoholic beer (courtesy of Athletic Brewing), and sparkly water. Want to bring something? Bring an extra case or two of sparkly waters! (Bringing things is optional but very appreciated.)

A WORD OF CAUTION--

October 28th is HOMECOMING at Oklahoma State University, which is known for having one of the largest homecoming celebrations in the country. We are doing our best to AVOID Homecoming crowds to keep cyclists safe; however, you are more than welcome to go scope out the Homecoming environment if you're home-curious. Be aware that traffic in Stillwater will be heavier than usual October 28th - 29th.

That's all for now - we'll be back with more updates tomorrow and/or Wednesday!

Fill out your waivers, please.

We can't wait for the event!
